With a group of colleagues at the World Bank and the Institute for Fiscal Studies, I lead the organization of an annual conference series on topics in taxation with relevance for developing countries.
The 2021 conference will focus on New Tax Instruments, which includes environmental taxes, taxes on the digital economy and novel sin taxes, such as sugar taxes. The conference is organized jointly with the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and will be held virtually on September 30 and October 1, 2021. Here is the conference website and the call for papers.
